Northfield to Supply Urea fertiliser to South Africa and Namibia

CAPE TOWN:

Northfield announced that it has concluded an Agreement to supply agricultural urea and ammonia to Kap-Agri. The agreement envisages the supply of 600,000 metric tons of urea per year starting May 2022.

The Urea will be sold in bulk and 50 kgs bags under the Northfield brand and distributed by distribution centres throughout West Cape and Namibia. 

This agreement confirms Northfield Group as a player in the global fertiliser market with expected sales of more than 7 million metric tons for 2022.

Northfield Group  Starts its Agricultural Operations in Brazil

CURITIBA

Northfield Group has started its operation in Brazil with sales of 2.4 million metric tons supply agreement of agricultural urea.

The supply will be done directly to farms and cooperatives in Central Brazil, with the first shipment in April. 

Northfield Brazil will open offices in Curitiba and Sao Paulo to assist its customer network and will build supporting logistic infrastructure to cater to the crescent trade of urea, grains and sugar.

Northfield will trade  8 million metric tons of products in 2022 in Brazil.

Northfield increases presence in Indonesia with PT Nusa Indah Pertiwi

JAKARTA:

Northfield Group announced today the investment in Surabaya and Kendari for the building of grain terminals capable to store together 200,000 metric tons of products.

Northfield further announced the increase of its operations through the acquisition from Nyonya Salmawati of the controlling shares in PT Nusa Indah Pertiwi.

Northfield investment contemplate the packing of Sugar and Soya Milk to the retail market.

Sarawak Government and Northfield signed a JV for  Zebu cattle farming

TANJUNG MANIS:

Pusaka Food Industry Sdn Bhd (PFISB) has signed a cooperation agreement with Zebu Cattle Sdn Bhd (ZCSB) in an effort to drive the livestock industry in Sarawak to contribute to local meat demand.

The RM87.5 million investment has the potential to boost the local economy with more employment and businesses opportunities.

The MoU Signing Ceremony was signed by Pusaka General Manager Datuk Hashim Bojet and Northfield’s CEO Carlos Mundim and witnessed by  Sarawak’s Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
